Busy busy

This is my son.
My son who is going to India in a few months.
This is my son "turning on the charm" as he says
so people would buy stuff at his fundraiser yard sale.
And yes, his charm worked like a charm.
Made loads of money to help the kids in India.

This is my little Chinese speaking 1st grader.
She loves going to all day school.
She especially loves doing her own hair and picking out her own clothes.
Mommy loves it too.

My most favorite thing in the world.
Watching my son battle it out on the football field.
So far, we are undefeated.
Good times.

Sweet Grandma and Grandpa took these 2 fishing.
I think Luke caught 13 fish or something crazy like that.
You notice they fished with the old school Tom Sawyer type pole.

This handsome kid is preparing for his upcoming baptism.
What a devil cutie he is!
We had a fun time on our baptism photo shoot.
So proud of him!

More Redneck Reunion Pics

Us Redneck folk love us our animals...
Here is Luke and Colonel relaxing under the shade of the Easy-Up.

Here is little Miss Redneck riding her trusty steed..

We also love us some naps and some Netflix..
Notice Sophie in the pile with everyone..

We continued with the Redneck tradition of spray painting t-shirts for the kids.
The kids love this tradition.
The parents don't love this tradition..
Spray paint and toddlers are not a fun mixture.

And when I said we love our animals, I meant it.
These two animals are among my favorite.

Who knew Grandpa put a hoop in the garage?
That's the way we roll on the farm.

We had a race down the lane.

We ate popsicles and got all messy..

We put water in the jump house and cleaned up.
No baths needed!
Yeah for the farm!
Yeah for the hose!

Aunt Sara was videoing the kids birthday messages for Ms. Maddie.
It was quite the task.

The notorious Blueberry Cheesecake that destroyed my oven.
Ms. Maddie is worth it.

We had to bring out the big guns to cut it because it was too frozen for my floppy t-rex arms.
Maddie is such a good daughter-she is recreating the moment she blew out her one candle.
I know, I am lame.
We almost needed skin grafts after trying to light her 19 candles, so to avoid an ER visit we scraped it and went with just one.

HAPPY REDNECK BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVELY DAUGHTER!
CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT REDNECK REUNION!

Rednecks Reunion

The morning of the Redneck Rasmussen Rendevous, I awoke to the beautiful message:

"Mom, come quick! Sophie had diarrhea all over the laundry room!"

I hate everyone. Especially everyone with diarrhea.

After cleaning up that fun fudgy mess, I decontaminated myself and started baking Maddie's birthday cheesecake.

And, in full idiot style, I overfilled my pan and got to clean this mess up the same morning.

I hate everyone. Especially everyone with birthdays.

Then.. we packed up our Redneck selves and drove to the farm. We met fellow Rass Rednecks there and this is set up--just like out of a Duck Dynasty episode (the best show on TV, by the way).

Ya got your Easy-up's,
yer picnic tables,
yer folding chairs and camp chairs..

Then ya gotta have some good ole water balloon fun..

It wouldn't be Redneck if it didn't include a swimming hole or mud hole as it were.
I really hope it is mud and not cow pie juice.. Can a human get cow hepatitis?
Yes, the answer is yes..
However, we are not human..We are Rednecks! We eat hepatitis for lunch! (well, not really)

We Rednecks love to lounge.
And watch our prodigy play in cow juice.

Sai going all out on one of his Redneck tricks. Be damned you hepatitis!!

Do not kid yourself..
Cute little butt cheek will not be contained!

Koy with a monster Redneck flop..

Luke, Mia and Anna listened to me when I told them to go get Todd wet.
Why, OH WHY? would they listen to me.

My favorite picture of Todd in all of the history of Toddness..

Someone is going to die..

Luke.
That would be Luke dying.
Of cow hepatitis.

Luke was very distraught when he got his diagnosis: Death by father by way of cow juice.

You may think he is throwing a fit, but because he has been taught better than that, he is actually saying a prayer. Shut up. He really really really is.

And this was Ms Sadie Grace coming to get her momma wet.
Oh what fun us Rednecks have.
You know you are jealous!

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
