I love Sundays (most of the time)
I am so thankful for Sunday nights. Especially after a hard fought battle for reverence at church, it is so nice to have a peaceful few hours by myself before the week is to start again. My little ones have been giving me the typical toddler tantrums lately and I have to count to 10 about 1,000 times a day. Today, Sadie girl actually rolled her eyes for the first time--she didn't do it to me, but to Maddie... It was HILARIOUS!! Maddie told her she needed to quit being naughty and Sadie just looked at her with this sassy look on her face and ROLLED HER EYES!! She is not even 2 yet!! Both Maddie and I started laughing but I am sure we won't be laughing for long. Poor Maddie got alot of attitude today. I was taking a little rest after church and Maddie and Tanner were trying to control the kids.. Luke wasn't cooperating and Maddie told him he needed to be nice or he was going to go in time-out. His reply?? "Whatever, Maddie." Yes, that's right. I am raising a bunch of heathens!! But today, we actually got through Sacrament meeting with no trouble, or I should say almost no trouble. We had the inevitable spilling of fishy crackers (fast sunday, no less) and a bit of sadness when mom's lap wasn't big enough for two, but overall we did very well today. I feel as though I should win a prize, a big huge prize!! I am so grateful my husband was able to be with us today at church--he gives so much of himself to others at his job, I am just so proud of him and how he is able to make a positive impact on people's lives that come through the ER. It is rough on him sometimes (lots of times) but he loves it and I know that he is doing what the Lord put him on the earth to do. We are a blessed family... it doesn't always feel that way, but I know that the challenges we do face are to bring us closer to each other and the Lord. Please pray for me...I am not kidding...pray for my little heathens also, they may not make it to their next birthday (just kidding :)

Holidays are over...phew!!
I don't know if anyone else feels the same, but I am exhausted!! Worn out!! What a fun holiday season we had at our home, but I am sure glad to have it behind me. I was so ready to move on that I took my christmas decorations down on the 26th- in the morning even.. I love it until it is over and then I am ready for "normal"..Our kids had a great christmas and we were able to spend lots of time with extended family which is the best present we can give our kids because we have amazing families. Some of my favorite memories of this Christmas will be the nativity scenes that were recreated at 3 different family get-togethers. My kids loved that so much. I also loved watching Luke, Tanner and Maddie negotiate a gingerbread house by themselves. Maddie almost had an anxiety attack!! I also really enjoyed staying in my pajamas for 2 entire days at my mom's house. Overall, we are just very blessed. We hope that all of you, our family and friends know of our love and concern for you and pray that you will have a wonderful and happy New Year.

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
