Have to remember these things...

Because of our previous issue with inappropriate video game addiction and subsequent efforts to rehabilitate our 4 year old son, I recently purchased a more age-appropriate game for Luke that does not involve guns or shooting others.  He loves it just as much as Halo.  He played it for about an hour yesterday and was so excited to show his dad when he got home from work.  Dad was excited that we had found a replacement "drug" and we enjoyed watching him race his little nascar around the track.

As we knelt for family prayer, led by Luke, these are the words that were spoken..

"Hefenyee Fader, thank you for ow day.  Thanks for ow blessings.  Thanks for my new game.  Please help me to go fast and to not weck (wreck).  And not have an accident. Namena Jesus Christ, Amen"

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
