What would a Sabbath Day be if it didn't include a visit to the local meetinghouse for a wonderful, uplifting meeting. We loved attending Sacrament meeting at Bear Lake. There were LOTS of people who also felt the need to worship, even though it was Labor Day. The entire building was full. We ended up in the primary room, half of us on those cute little preschool chairs. It was a great meeting and we were only mildly disruptive. After church, we came back to the lodge and pulled out the leftover pizza--you know, we had about 79 slices of pieces left. We then got settled in for a restful few hours. After our Sunday nap, we decided to go on a little hike above our lodge. Tyler was fast asleep and so we sent Tanner and Cole to wake him up by putting ice down his shorts (silly boys! it is like poking a sleeping bear!). It is always fun to watch Ty put the smackdown on those two teenagers. Poor Cole ended up with aloe vera gel in his bum crack. Ty tried to gel my son's bum crack too, but Tanner is not as peace-loving as Cole and he fought back. So Sabbathy. After Cole recovered from this horrible rear assault, we went on our walk. It was beautiful and fun. After our hike we decided to go for a drive to the Idaho side of Bear Lake. It, too, was beautiful and fun. We ended up at the northern most beach of Bear Lake. Despite it being Sunday, we let the kids wade (OK, some of them swam) in the water. Beautiful and fun.
Back to the lodge for more pizza.
Awesome.
And beautiful and fun.
