Sadie Grace..the child I always knew I would have. What a little imp you are and the joy that you have brought into our home is overwhelming at times. You are so patient with me as I kiss you hundreds of times each day..I hope you will always be so patient.. I know we are in for quite a ride with you--eating my deodorant, scrubbing your hands with the dirty toilet brush, dumping out the dogs water and playing in it, climbing up on the table to dance around, emptying every drawer in your room then looking at me with this surprised look on your face "meth?!" (mess). Everyday I chuckle inside as I try to get things done around the house. It is like a sitcom I am living. But I love this sitcom and I love my family and I realize I am blessed without measure..

How a mother loves her son...I just enjoy you so much Tanner and hope you know what a special person you are to me. In so many ways I don't quite understand you...your passion for weapons (scary), your obsession with video games and TV (sometimes annoying), or your funny little boy habits (picking, scratching, chomping, smacking, etc). But, boy do I love you and love that you are willing to show your love for me without hesitation. It means so much to have a real hug from you. Luke and Sadie both adore you and have so much fun when your around. After you leave for school, Sadie walks around looking for you, saying "bruder?" I never hear Luke laugh as hard as when you are playing with him. Keep up the straight A's at school and the willingness to help at home. So proud of you and love you to bits!

Maddie- my girl.. We are so proud of the young woman she has become. She works so hard at school, taking lots of honors classes and getting straight A's. She studies as if she is in college...and I know soon enough she will be. So sad.. She worked hard at basketball tryouts and made her 9th grade team. I literally could not imagine what I would do without her. She is my right hand and is always helping in whatever way she can. We are so proud of you, miss maggoo. I must say, however, that we have alot of work to do on teaching her to drive. I thought it would be a good idea to let her drive sunday for a couple of blocks to Grandma Jeanne's house...oooo the stress.. for both of us. I literally thought I was going to die even though we were barely moving. We'll work on it over the next few months...in large open fields....

Luke loves to bath, especially in the kitchen sink with bubbles. I am a blessed mother of some awfully cute, but mischevious children. I always say it is a good thing they are so cute..it's the only thing that keeps them from getting in big trouble.

luke's prayer

Luke said the cutest prayer tonight that I had to immortalize--
"Heafenly Fauder, thanks for za day, please bless it, heafenly fauder loves us. Help us not to dump out the crayons. Help us not to pull hair out. Help us not be dispectful ("disrespectful") in the car. Name of Jesus Christ, Amen." Cute Cute Cute! We are always chuckling in his prayers. He always wants to say it and typically starts before anyone is ready. We are very blessed and very entertained to say the least.

my 2nd post.. wow

I am such a loser. I can't figure out how to do anything on my blog except journal. I would like to add some new pictures and some music, but I can't figure it out. Today, is a beautifully cool day here in utah. Luke and Sadie were in jumping on the bed and got really excited when they saw the snow coming down outside. They love to dance and jump on our spare bed. Cute kids. I woke up feeling really good today because I actually got about 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep--Luke slept with Maddie in her bed last night, so she probaby didn't sleep well. She has been trying to get him to sleep with her for a couple of months, but he never wants to. It sure was nice though to get some sleep. Sadie is being a devil right now.. she is trying to put books on my keyboard while I am typing. She laughs when I throw the books away from me and say "NO" She has no respect or fear... That will be fun when she is 13.

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
