Sadie was singing at the top of her lungs and I only caught a few seconds of it. She loves to sing Twinkle Twinkle and Jingle Bells. She also loves Old McDonald. Every once in awhile she sings a little This is why I'm Hot. She is very well rounded in all genres..

SADIE AND LUKE FIND POOP AT THE PARK
The other day at the park, Ms. Sadie made a discovery. It was a very interesting discovery as she made sure to point it out to mom. It was pooh. She was a bit troubled that this pooh was there on this beautiful day in her field. She had been running away from mom when she saw it and it stopped her short. She had to share this discovery.. she called Luke over..
"Yukey, pooh" (Luke, pooh) Luke was equally bothered, yet strangely fascinated by the pooh.
Sadie decided the best thing she could do was add to the pile of pooh. Don't worry I stopped her before she did... Geemaneezz..
However, Luke was a bit too fast for Mom to stop him. He felt that the pooh needed a little pee for company. I think it is just precious, don't you?
SADIE "HIDING"
Could she be cuter?? Don't think so...

POOP AT THE PARK
(this happening a few months ago, but I forgot to publish it.. kids plus poop equals funny)
I couldn't wait to share Sadie discovering poop at the park. She was so interested in the poop. She had to show her brother. They had a nice discussion about the poop.
Sadie: 'bruver, da poops!"
Luke: "eeww gross. i'm gonna frow up"
And the discussion continued about why someone pooped in the park, me trying to explain it is a dog terd, and more comments about frowing up.
MASHER DRAMA: PART DEUX
Ok, so lets just say that I have the most pathetic excuse for a dog that has ever existed on this earth. Sit back and relax while I tell you a tale of a sad, sad doggy.
Masher is a funny, funny puppy. He likes to lick my children's private parts. He likes to have some puppy "levi love" with Sophie. His tendency to do this during prayer time, meal time, family time, any ole time has troubled my family for weeks. I was saddened to think that he would have to get his manhood jewels removed, only because the poor thing is already so pathetic with his 2 bad hips, but 2 incidents changed my mind and caused this STUD to become a GELDING (what is it called in dogs?? I only know in horses).
Incident #1- Tanner saying family prayer. He says the most sincere, heartfelt prayers. Even if it is at the dinner table.. he really talks to Heavenly Father and consults with him on things foremost in his mind. "....and Heavenly Father, please help Masher not to.... (LONG PAUSE)"
Now let me just say what Tanner was going to say was ... "hump Sophie", but being the smart child that he is he probably knew that "hump" was not an appropriate word for a prayer. So.. proceed with the prayer..
"...please help Masher not to ... (really long pause)... INTERACT WITH SOPHIE IN AN INAPPROPRIATE WAY" Oh, yes he did. Troubled. My family is troubled.
Incident #2
Picture a harried mom of 4 laying down for 2 seconds by her husband watching a recording of General Conference (ok.. not really.. we were watching a jazz game or something completely pointless). Luke climbs up on my bed and straddles my legs. He then proceeds to bounce up and down on my legs and exclaim "Look Mom! I'm humping you like Masher humps Sophie!" I am the best parent in the world... don't even kid yourself.. Troubled. I am very troubled.
Proceeding with the sad tale...
Because of all of the inappropriate activity going on at all times and in all places, we schedule a de-jeweling for last week. It was supposed to be no big deal. I picked the new Masher up and he was acting just fine.. not ashamed or depressed or anything. He was having quite a good attitude if you ask me. I got him home and we let him out to say hi to his girlfriend. We expected him to go hide in the corner, sad because Sophie had to see him this way. Oh NO! Within 5 minutes, he was on her like sticky on glue (sorry, bad image). More humping, more groans from the family. More tears on my pillow.
Continuing with the tragedy..
Today my husband takes Masher to the vet because he thinks he might be developing an infection in his incision (could it be that dog love is not appropriate for 4 days post surgery?). Masher had been periodically shaking and it was just since the surgery. Sure, it had to be an infection to be easily treated with antibiotics.. OH NO!! My FREAKIN puppy has stressed induced SEIZURES that require seizure medication for the rest of his life. Seriously. I am tired. Could I get my money back now??
Disclaimer to the PETA lovers out there.. I do love my dog, and I do feel bad for him. I promise to give him all of his medication (currently we are up to 3 different medications..) as prescribed.
My life really is ..... (long pause)... inappropriately ridiculous...
SADIE GRACE IS TWO!
ATVing at the park on Sadie's Birthday
It was such a perfect day!! March 18th was the most glorious day for a park day. Luke and Sadie were so excited to be outside and not be bundled up. I just could not get over how wonderful the sun felt!! Now as I sit here on March 30th, there is freakin 4 inches of snow outside and it feels like it is the middle of winter.. What the FREAK? I get so bugged when my kids say FREAK, but seriously WHAT the FREAK?
My two little cheesies.. They had fun racing down the slide together.
Sadie loves her some FARM action.. She received this on her birthday Mar 18
Sadie at her Ashby birthday party on Mar 16th
Sadie, beautiful Lady!! What a blessing you are in my life. Your little pixie face goes perfectly with your little impish personality. I have said a hundred times, and I'll say it all of your life, it's a good thing you are so cute, because MAN, are you DRAMA sometimes. I have never seen a child go from happy and sweet to a demonic, possessed being so quicky (just mention bedtime when she is busy.. or take her pink milk away.. or etc....). There are days I feel as though my head will explode if you ask for a "dink" or "mcdonos" (drink or Mcdonald) one more time, but I love you so deeply that I accept your craziness, because with your temper tantrums also comes the most special personality. You are a unique and fun child and I LOVE being your mom. I hope you always stay the same..loving life and ready for the next adventure..

I HATE THIS PART OF HAVING PETS
We just got some really sad news this weekend. Our 8 month old puppy, Masher (the cause of Luke's stitches and currently deformed face) was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. MY PUPPY NEEDS 2 TOTAL HIPS!! This is just so SAD on many levels. Sad, because there is no way we can spend $6,000 to fix him. Sad, because he is going to have to medicated the rest of his life to make him comfortable (the aforementioned medicine is $100/month, isn't that just great). Sad, because he is just a puppy and he can't run around and jump and play like a healthy puppy. Sad, because he has to be on a diet. (Seriously, that one is the worst...) Sad, because we really love him even though he molests our naked children after bath time. Sad, because I hate to see anything in pain, let alone an innocent animal. (Side note... I once ran off the road to avoid running over a bunny. I let go of the steering wheel and covered my face with my hands. Todd, not even my husband yet, had to push me out of a huge snow drift. He couldn't even speak he was so astounded at my inappropriate reaction..) We are going to push the hard core drugs for as long as it helps him and he seems to be fairly comfortable, but then we will have to put him down. Unless I can get Oprah to lend me some money to fix his hips... she's a dog lover, she might.

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
