Don't you 'nore me!

This is a conversation that has occurred at my home about 3 dozen times in the past year.

Sadie screaming.. "Yuke is shooting me!"

Luke: "I'm not! I'm shooting your dinosaur!"

Me: "Luke don't shoot your sister or her dinosaur and Sadie quit screaming!"

(about 2.2 seconds pass of quiet)

Sadie: "Yuke is pointing his gun at me!"

Me: "Just ignore him."

Sadie (to Luke): "Yuke, I'm 'noring you!"

Luke (to me): crying, "Mom, Sadie says she's 'noring me!"

Sadie (to me): "Mom, what does 'noring mean??"

Me (to self): "Just 'nore them"

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
