Day 3: San Clemente Pier and Ocean Festival

Maddie trying to force her eyes open the morning after
almost being ran over by the train and the cars on the highway.
Also, I forgot to mention:
This campground is right next to Camp Pendelton's training area.
We also heard bombing sounds all night.
So peaceful, so relaxing.

Maddie and Luke playing in the water.
It was a very nice day, but very busy at the beach because
of the Ocean Festival at the pier.

Some old cars were on display on the pier.

Poor Daddy didn't get to come to this beach with us.
He had to take our campsite down at the Bluff campsite and move it
to the next campsite.
He is our hero.
We were out sunning ourselves and playing in the water and he
was tearing down our huge tent and setting it back up.

After he picked us up, we went back to the campsite and met up with
some of Todd's family who had just arrived.

We went back to the beach for an hour or so (can not get enough of it!)

We grocery shopped and then made our dinner.
Hot dogs, fresh fruit and smores.

Played some games by the fire.

Great day in Cali!

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
