Hogle Zoo 2012

We went to the zoo.

But it wasn't just any zoo visit.

It was a zoo visit in September.  A GORGEOUS fall day.

And to make our zoo day even better, we met Sara & her boys there.

And to elevate it to near perfection... there was hardly anyone there!! So awesome!

The animals were fabulous and ready to show it.

Well, except the big silverback.

He kept hiding behind this hay.

So funny.

Loved getting to watch the rhinos eat their hay.

How do rhinos get fat just eating grass?

I don't get it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the new Rocky Shores exhibit.

Sadie enjoyed playing with darling Sam.

We love us some Jorgensen boys!

This elephant is always a treat, and there is usually too many people around it.

But not on our perfect fall day!!

Love my girl!

Had to wait for a little bit for this sweet animal to decide to come out of hiding, but once it did-
Boo-yah!! We loved watching him (her?) playing and eating and swimming.  Impressive physique, too.  Reminds me of Sophie!

Thanks Jorgensen's for the wonderful day!! Come back soon!

"I believe our problems, almost every one, arise out of the homes of the people. If there is to be reformation, if there is to be a change, if there is to be a return to old and sacred values, it must begin in the home. It is here that truth is learned, that integrity is cultivated, that self-discipline is instilled, and that love is nurtured."
